Abstract
In the pale diffused light of an overcast afternoon, a woman traces the spice routes of antuquity on her lover's back. She tells her story with the scent of cinnamon, the golden stain of turmeric, and the heat of red chilli. Her anecdotes of power, conquest and surrender are lightly brushed off by her lover but she still has the last laugh.
