Abstract

This paper presents and analyses the performance of Adaptive Logic Networks (Armstrong and Gecsei, 1979), ALN, in a character recognition task. ALN is a weightless neural network model whose nodes are grouped in binary trees. The paper investigates the performance of ALN networks when key parameters are modified.
