Abstract

Measured 20.6 GHz near-field amplitude and phase patterns of a pyramidal horn with a ferrite-loaded aperture show broadening of the far-field beam by a factor of at least 3 in the plane perpendicular to the applied bias direction. An average factor of 2.5 was observed between 20 and 26 GHz.
